Current Students & Parents

Welcome current students and parents! We encourage you to use the website as an interactive tools for timely distribution of information related to the school.

Notre Dame established secure Online Grade Access to enable parents and students to confidentially obtain timely information related to achievement grades earned by students by project, assignment, quiz or test, including calculation of a cumulative quarter-to-date percentage earned. Individual student information can only be obtained via password protected access. Inquiries or comments related to students and/or classroom related matters can be addressed with Teachers in person, via phone or e-mail.  This school year, 2009 - 2010,  parents will NOT receive a hard copy of grades unless specifically requested.  Instead, parents will be utilizing the RVS Gradebook online to view their child/children's grades.

Information regarding Academics and Athletics/Co-Curricular Activities inlcuding related Policies & Forms are also provided. All parents and students are expected to be familiar with policies and procedures detailed in the Parent/Student Handbook.

2. Categories for some classes are weighted. The overall percentage is NOT computed by dividing total points earned by total points possible.
3. Individual grades for an assignment, quiz, or test may be improved through retesting. Please don’t panic if you see a failing grade.
4. Please give the teachers one (1) week to upgrade their grade book with scores for assignments, quizzes, and tests. Teachers will do their very best to keep the grades current; however, sometimes life prevents us from doing things immediately.

  Student Council
The Student council plans and carries out school and community activities as well as service projects. Student council holds regular meetings throughout the school year.

All student council representatives and officers are committed to learning about leadership and becoming actively involved in leadership roles. Class representatives from grades 5 through 8 are elected in late September. The second purpose of the student council is to foster community awareness and participation. Students actively research, promote, and fund-raise for the benefit of various community organizations. Through their participation, they are striving to understand a broader picture of school and community cooperation and encourage school understanding of this picture. The third major focus of the student council is to promote school spirit. Representatives design, promote, and participate in “spirit days”.

The goals for the 2009 – 2010 Student Council are as follows:
