The Preschool program at Notre Dame gives your child the right foundation. Special learning experiences in music, art, Spanish, computers, and physical education are included in our weekly plan. Solid Catholic values are incorporated in everything we do and say.

Curriculum
Our curriculum is well rounded and comprehensive. It is adjusted to meet the needs of the individual child. Some of the major areas of concentration are: religion, large and small muscle development, computer skills, music, art, development of social skills, listening skills, health and safety, dramatic play, development of sensory skills, communication, group activities, pre-mathematics, pre-reading readiness, independence, understanding feelings, following directions, and sharing.

Religious:
Religion is incorporated into the program each day. Prayers are taught, Jesus stories are told, and Christian values are continuously being taught by example.

Cognitive:
Basic skills are developed for Kindergarten - examples include colors, shapes, letters, sorting, sequencing, and directions. The Open Court Phonics program that is used in the K – 4 programs is used in our 5-Day Pre-K program.

Social:
Children learn to communicate with peers and adults. Manners are taught through appropriate lessons and example when waiting your turn and doing what is asked of you.

Emotional:
Children learn to express their feelings in appropriate ways as problem-solving skills are developed and students are encouraged to grow emotionally as they make the transition between home and school.

Physical:
Large muscle coordination development through running, jumping, skipping, and hopping using our outdoor play area and gym class. Small muscle coordination development through coloring, writing with crayons, markers, and pencils, cutting, using small manipulative, working with play dough, painting, and use of scissors.

Class begins at 8:15 am
Class dismissed at 11:30 am
Child must be potty trained to attend Notre Dame Preschool.

5-Day am Preschool Program
Monday through Friday
Class begins at 8:15 am
Class dismissed at 11:30 am
Child must be potty trained to attend Notre Dame Preschool.

5-Day All Day Preschool Program
Monday through Friday
Class begins at 8:15 am
Class dismissed at 2:45 pm
Students bring lunch to school
Child must be potty trained to attend Notre Dame Preschool.
