  • At Notre Dame School, your child receives an education that is grounded in the Roman Catholic faith.  Spiritual and moral development permeates the entire curriculum at Notre Dame.  Many non-Catholic families benefit from the fruits of an education that focuses on the total student: body, mind, and soul.
  • Catholic schools are renowned for academic excellence.  Notre Dame offers quality education with explemary academic results.
  • Notre Dame students model their dedication to community service each and everyday.  Students enjoy helping others in their community.  Click here to view our What We Do brochure.
  • The total number of Catholic high school graduates who continue their education is approximately 98%.  Graduates of Notre Dame School typically go on to become valedictorians, salutatorians, class officers, academic team members, and althletic team members.  Our graduates have gone on to become doctors, educators, bankers, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States of America, etc.
  • Notre Dame students participate in a host of extra-curricular activities including PAC soccer, volleyball, basketball, cross country, and track.  Students participate in Student Council, academic teams, dances, and social events.
  • Parental involvement is a critical part of Catholic schools like Notre Dame.  Our very active Notre Dame Home and School meets monthly and conducts various fundraisers to help support specific programs for students throughout the year.  Many parents volunteer in the classroom, in the lunch room, on the playground, and on field trips.  Click here to view Home & School committees.
  • Notre Dame is committed to the philosophy that every student matters.  Every effort is made to work with students who need remedial assistance.  Homework help is held daily before and after school.  We have a remedial teacher on staff who works with individual students or with small groups of students who need additional time and practice with a concept.

Notre Dame middle school recognizes its mission as an extension of the Catholic Church, the family and the community. We strive to provide a quality Catholic education in which students can be successful learners and can become active Christians in our religious and social communities. We believe that middle school students are in a transition period possessing unique educational, social, physical and emotional needs.

Our middle school focus is first on relationships and connections. Students are encouraged to know their own strengths and achievement gaps. Relationships between teachers and students must be cultivated, promoted, nourished, and maintained. Our effort is to create a personalized environment that supports each student’s intellectual, ethical, social, and physical development is our tightly knit structure. Teachers regularly discuss with their students their academic and emotional needs. This environment improve student self-esteem by providing a sense of “home” to students and a sense of safety, security, and belonging.

At Notre Dame, data drives what instruction is provided, to whom, when, and how. We analyze the results from the state tests to look for weaknesses, to make sure that the required curriculum is being covered, and to tailor future instructional needs.

Our Middle School Philosophy includes:
1. All students are expected to meet high academic standards.
2. Curriculum, instruction, and assessment are aligned with high standards. They provide a coherent vision for what students should know and be able to do. The curriculum is rigorous and non-repetitive; it moves forward substantially as students progress through the middle grades.
3. The curriculum emphasizes deep understanding of concepts, development of essential skills, and the ability to apply what one has learned.
4. Instructional strategies include a variety of challenging and engaging activities that are clearly related to the concepts and skills being taught.
5. Teachers use a variety of methods to assess student performance (e.g., exhibitions, projects, performance tasks) and maintain a collection of student work. Students learn how to assess their own and others' work against the performance standards.
6. Students have the supports they need to meet rigorous academic standards. They have multiple opportunities to succeed and extra help as needed.
