Under the direction of Father Keith and through the significant  combined efforts of the school administration, school advisory and finance councils, a school budget was approved on February 28th which provides for continued program enhancements and dedication of necessary resources for the upcoming 2009-2010 school year.  The approved budget reflects a 3% increase in tuition for the upcoming year.   This 3% increase was approved despite double digit growth in certain projected operating costs and reflects confidence in the school and parish's mission and financial management.

Scholarships and Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is available in the first instance by applying to the Diocese of Gary. The Diocese of Gary financial assistance applications (available in the School Office and Parish Center) must be completed and filed no later than February 28th preceding the school year for which assistance is requested.  For example, applications for the 2009-2010 school year needed to be filed by February 28, 2009.  (This is an annual cut-off determined by the diocese, please make note for next year.)

Partial scholarships and financial assistance are also available, according to individual circumstances, by applying directly to the Notre Dame pastor.

Tuition Reduction Programs

Notre Dame offers a program where families reduce their tuition bill by buying gift cerrtificates to be used at local and sometimes national retailers. The TRACC (Tuition Reduction and Cost Containment) program is easy to use and during last year generated approximately $500 in savings for each participating family! During the current registration season, Notre Dame offers a unique program to reduce tution costs.  Refer a student to Notre Dame and receive a $400 tuition reduction upon enrollment of that student!
